This month the second Tecta FurniTour took place. The starting point was the Design Post Köln. Early in the morning, about 100 cycling enthusiasts met and got in the mood for the day with coffee specialties from Van Dyck and fresh croissants.

After a short bike check in the pop-up workshop of our partner Bicycle Workshop, we set off in two groups on a 55 and 75 kilometer loop. On both routes, some sections of “Around Cologne” were on the menu. But lesser-known climbs in the Bergisches Land region were also ridden. On the 55-kilometer route, the Bärbroich was the highlight to be climbed; on the 75-kilometer route, it was the beautiful climb up to Neuensaal that got the hearts, but especially the legs, pumping. After a short break with a panoramic view of the Cologne Bay, it was back to Cologne – only downhill, of course.

Back at the Design Post, the participants fortified themselves with fries and cool Sülz-Bier in the “Tecta Kater Karlchen Edition”. Meanwhile, Bicycle Workshop presented the latest bikes from OPEN. The final raffle, for which all sponsors donated generous prizes, raised a proud sum of 1320 Euros for the benefit of the World Bicycle Relief campaign.
