The first TECTA FurniTour took place on April 30. The starting point was the Design Post Köln. Early in the morning, about 100 cycling enthusiasts met and got in the mood for the day with coffee specialties from Van Dyck and fresh croissants.

After a short bike check in the pop-up workshop of our partner Schwalbe, two groups set off on a 50 and 70 kilometer round. The route initially led in the direction of Bergisch Gladbach. Soon the Bergisches Land showed that should actually be called mountainous country. Behind Odenthal, the climb around the Scherfbachtal and the Dhünntalsperre began. It went lively up and down, like on a good roller coaster ride, until the peloton in the slipstream of our prominent companion André Greipel started the journey home to Cologne

Back at the Design Post, the participants fortified themselves with grilled steak sandwiches, fries and cool Sülz-Bier. Meanwhile, Enjoyyourbike presented the latest bikes from OPEN. The final raffle, for which all sponsors donated generous prizes, raised a proud sum of more than 1060 euros for the benefit of the World Bicycle Relief campaign.

We are thrilled how on this day the passions for cycling and furniture design have combined. To be continued …
