Poetry of modernity

The newly developed version is called D43 and responds to the desire for a softer and more organic design language. Soft, rounded, homely. With beautifully shaped seat cushions for long, comfortable and relaxed sitting at the dining table during shared evenings with family or friends.

And the technical features of the D43? For one thing, the wickerwork. Each seat shell is woven by hand in Lauenförde. The other materials are also exclusively “Made in Germany”: The durable and tear-resistant polypropylene weave is made exclusively for Tecta in a medium-sized company in the Sauerland region. The precision steel tubes in cantilever quality are bent, ground and surface-treated at a specialized metal processor in Upper Franconia.The result is a chair that is traditionally made but equipped with contemporary comfort. A furniture that reflects the poetry of modernity, but skillfully combines it with the needs of today.

New Wickerwork

The new Öko-Tex materials from TECTA are durable, skin-friendly and resistant. Wickerwork materials that combine look and feel and represent Gropius’ desire to see “art and technology” as a new unit. The tension between warm wickerwork and cool steel, between aesthetics and technology – this is what characterizes the Tecta wickerwork collections. And also the two new wicker materials that combine functionality and aesthetics.
