The kinetic cantilever chair

The newspaper and a glass of wine: the D351i is an elegant lounge chair that allows you to relax and unwind from everyday life. It can be infinitely adjusted with the greatest of ease – simply by shifting your weight.

This beautiful minimal chair is one of Tecta’s oldest designs. It is based on an idea by Anton Lorenz. Hungarian-born Lorenz was inspired early on by the potential of Mart Stam’s cantilever chair concept and experimented with it, albeit in a rigid form. Over the years, Tecta has continually reworked and refined the D35-1i, developing it into today’s kinetic mobile chair.

Thanks to our configurator, you can coordinate the frame and seat of the D351i perfectly in a variety of materials and new colour combinations.

New Wickerwork

The new Ökotex materials from TECTA are durable, skin-friendly and resistant. Wickerwork materials that combine look and feel and represent Gropius’ desire to see “art and technology” as a new unit. The tension between warm wickerwork and cool steel, between aesthetics and technology – this is what characterizes the Tecta wickerwork collections. And also the two new wicker materials that combine functionality and aesthetics.
