We would like to introduce you to our brand new Tecta cantilever chair catalogue – 48 pages dedicated to the lightest way of sitting. With fresh materials, new colours and the B15 model, we have taken the series a step further and added a contemporary, even lighter version. The appearance of the catalogue is also a highlight: bright pink on a silver background – a playful statement of our love of form, colour and the exciting reflections of our chrome and nickel-plated frames. The catalogue is of course available free of charge –  have fun discovering it!

Here you can order the new Tecta cantilever chair catalogue (only available in german language) and other Tecta media free of charge …

»The future had suddenly become visible!« Visible and condensed in a chair that followed El Lissitzky’s vision of ‘floating and swinging’ and was designed without four legs: the cantilever chair. A piece of furniture on whose curved frame those seeking rest almost seem to fly. Around 50 years ago, Tecta began to develop this backless design, which had its origins in the Bauhaus. Today, the Tecta cantilever chair is a classic, an icon and a trademark all in one.

The new B15 continues the evolution of the hand-woven cantilever chair. The starting point was the question of how to further develop the backless chair with the new, high-quality wicker materials. The answer: an aesthetic design that fulfils the high standards of craftsmanship and is comfortable at the same time.

Designer Wolfgang Hartauer has given the visual lightness and elegant silhouette of the new B15 a backrest profile that supports the body well even when sitting for long periods. With its contemporary low backrest and characteristically conical base, a Tecta trademark, the B15 complements modern table groups. The hand-woven seat emphasises its transparency and lightness.
