During 3daysofdesign – Denmark’s annual design festival – our partner Tadaima presents »Past Forward«, a curated exhibition that explores the intersection of tradition and modernity. In a light-filled 550 square meter space in the Frederiksstaden district, the exhibition brings together furniture, lighting, textiles and art informed by traditional and contemporary craftsmanship – where function meets form and small makers stand alongside established names.

»Past Forward« is sculptural and functional, minimalist and expressive, showing how design evolves over time. Visitors are invited to experience design as a multi-layered narrative in which the past is carried forward through thoughtful curation, material presence and timeless form … and we’ll be there with our classics too!

Founded in Copenhagen in 2021 by Hanne Berzant and her daughters Josefine and Emma, Tadaima is a curated design universe where cultures, aesthetics and materiality come together. With a shared background in the creative industry, they have created a platform dedicated to timeless design, where each piece is carefully selected for its form, function and story. The name Tadaima – Japanese for »I am at home« – embodies a sense of warmth and belonging. Curating is an art form that brings together sculptural forms, rich textures and refined details. By collaborating with established and emerging designers, Tadaima shapes a selection that seamlessly blends heritage with contemporary expression.
